MyMichigan Urgent Care Alpena is changing its schedule effective September 27, adding Sunday service and expanding weekend access for patients who need care when their regular doctor may not be available.

The clinic will be open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday hours will run from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Sunday care will be available during the same 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. window.
MyMichigan Medical Group Senior Manager Lesley St. Germain said the change is intended to make care more accessible and convenient. “We’re always looking for ways to increase access and convenience for our patients,” St. Germain said.
She noted that increased weekend activity can bring unexpected illness or injury, while a patient’s regular physician may not be available. The expanded schedule is intended to accommodate more patients and could help some avoid a trip to the emergency room while receiving treatment.
Walk-in services available
Appointments are not required at Urgent Care. The clinic provides walk-in treatment for people of all ages, including patients with strains and sprains, colds, sore throats, minor burns, skin rashes, insect bites and minor fractures.
The facility also provides occupational health services, along with camp and sports physicals. Patients can check current wait times and find driving directions through mymichigan.org/urgent/alpena.
