Detroit Tigers fans in Alpena will have two chances this month to watch afternoon games together at the APlex, where Get-a-Way Day events are scheduled for Sept. 9 and Sept. 23.
Both events will feature the Tigers on large-screen televisions, with food and drinks available for purchase, including beer. Doors open at 11 a.m. on each date, giving attendees time to settle in before the games begin.
Game schedule
- Sept. 9: Detroit plays the Minnesota Twins.
- Sept. 23: Detroit plays the Washington Nationals.
First pitch is scheduled for 1:10 p.m. on both days. The events offer an Alpena gathering place for fans to follow the Tigers during daytime games while purchasing food and beverages at the APlex.
