Alpena Celebrates Two Community Renovation Projects With Back-to-Back Ribbon Cuttings

Alpena marked the completion of renovations at two community gathering places Wednesday, with city officials and community partners holding ribbon-cutting ceremonies at Culligan Plaza and Bay View Park Sportsplex.

The first ceremony took place at Culligan Plaza. The group then held a second ribbon cutting at the Bay View Park Sportsplex, according to The Alpena News.

Mayor Cindy Johnson and City of Alpena City Manager Rachel Smolinski thanked community partners whose support helped make the renovations at both Bay View Park and Culligan Plaza possible.

The ceremonies highlighted the role of local partnerships in improvements to two Alpena public spaces.
