Families looking for Halloween activities in Alpena will have a free, all-ages option during Downtown Trick-or-Treating on Oct. 23. The event is scheduled from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Great Lakes Maritime Heritage Center.
What to expect
Visitors can take part in trick-or-treating and games at the event. The center’s haunted ship and museum will also be available, although that portion is optional.
The event is supported by the Friends of Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary, candy donations and volunteers. Organizers said people who are able to donate candy before the event can contact Erin Pilarski at [email protected].
The event is designed to either start or finish an evening of Downtown Alpena Trick-or-Treating, giving families a Halloween stop with activities inside the maritime heritage center.
