The Alpena Jets turned in a strong weekend on the football field, with the program’s four tackle football teams going 3-1 on Saturday.
The Jets flag football program also played its second game Sunday against the Packers, adding another weekend matchup for Alpena youth players.
Young players make an impact
Second grader Connor Wrath of the Texans scored two touchdowns, including on the running play shown in a courtesy photo accompanying the report. Second grader Owen Mackenzie of the Packers attempted to pull Wrath’s flag on the play.
